Aetiology
Abnormal diagnostic imaging results not elsewhere classified (NDIRNEC) can be caused by a variety of conditions, including non-cancerous masses, calcifications, inflammation, and ischemia. In some cases, the cause of the abnormal imaging is unknown.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis of NDIRNEC may involve imaging tests such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or ultrasound.
Differential diagnosis
The differential diagnosis for NDIRNEC may include cancer, infections, benign tumors, or vascular diseases.
Treatment
Treatment for NDIRNEC may include medications, surgery, radiation therapy, or a combination of these therapies.
Prognosis
The prognosis for NDIRNEC depends on the underlying cause and the type of treatment chosen. In some cases, the prognosis may be good, while in other cases the prognosis may be poor.
